Architecture Overview

ConnectMe relies on a microservices backend powered by Node.js and a highly available PostgreSQL database. We use a matching algorithm to pair local workers with incoming service requests based on proximity and historical ratings.

Status Update

Stopped due to legal issues.

Challenges Encountered

Cold Start Problem: Building liquidity on both sides of the marketplace required strategic local marketing and initial subsidies.
Real-time Geolocation Updates: Managing persistent WebSocket connections for real-time tracking without draining device battery life.

Milestones

Q1 2024: Platform scaffolded.
Q2 2024: Alpha testing in three local neighborhoods.
